
Within the STRIMHealth project of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković” (IBISS), funded by the European Union, on Thursday, 18 June 2026, a training session was held for researchers interested in intellectual property, patent protection, innovation management and technology transfer.
At the training entitled “From Idea to Innovation: Regulatory Framework, Patent Protection and Technology Transfer”, the participants had the opportunity to hear an introductory lecture on the patent system, as well as details concerning protection in the fields of biotechnology and medicine, delivered by the representatives of the Intellectual Property Office, Zorica Obradović and Jelena Tešić.
The legal aspects of knowledge and technology transfer, agreements, ownership of research results and cooperation with industry were presented by Mara Janković from the Mikijelj, Janković & Bogdanović Law Office, while technology transfer strategies were discussed by consultant Dr Katarina Pavlović.
At the end of the training, participants from IBISS, IHTM, the Innovation Centre of the Faculty of Chemistry, the IMS Institute, the Institute of Economic Sciences and others had the opportunity to learn more from Anđela Terzić from Science Technology Park Belgrade about the support available to startups on their journey from innovation to the market.
