During the course of the 61st session of the Assembly of the member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), on September 23rd, 2020, virtual meeting has been held at the high level of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) with the delegations of the West Balkans states, that have the observer status in the EUIPO. The meeting, presided by EUIPO Executive Director Christian Archambeau, was organized to exchange information on the activities of institutions during the previous year and to consider important issues of further mutual cooperation.
On behalf of the delegation of Serbia, Mr. Vladimir Maric, Director of the Intellectual Property Office, got the participants at the meeting acquainted with the way the IPO had been working in the conditions of the pandemics of the virus COVID-19 and the activities of the IPO in the period September 2019- September 2020, which were important for the cooperation of the IPO with the EUIPO, like the adoption of the new Trademark Law and the participation of the IPO in the cooperation projects with the EUIPO, having the aim to harmonize the processes of registration of trademarks and industrial design in the member states of the European Union.
