Today, on November 14th, 2024, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, the experts of the Intellectual Property Office held a lecture on the protection and implementation of various intellectual property rights, with a special focus on innovations and trends in the domain of mechanical engineering. The lecture was attended by the students of the fifth year of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from the department of General Mechanical Constructions.
During the lecture, the essential role of evaluation of various intellectual property rights, with regard to securing the quality of business, was emphasized, implying also progress in research and development, along with the increasing importance of university in the field of patenting R&D results. It has been pointed out how the protection of invention by patent brings significant advantages through the previous analysis of data by research of available patent data bases. Examples from practice were presented to students, also through interactive communication and simulation, to enable efficient understanding of the importance of protection and respect of intellectual property rights belonging to others.
The importance of research and use of patent documents was emphasized, so that the students may keep pace with the latest technological achievements and adjust to the challenges demanding fast creation of quality innovative products on the market.
