At the Faculty of Chemistry of Belgrade University, at Wednesday, February 21, 2024, a seminar was held for the researchers from this Faculty under a title “Introduction into Intellectual Property Rights and Protection of Invention by Patent”.
The seminar was held in the framework of the Program for establishment and development of innovation incubators in the R&D organizations in the Republic of Serbia implemented by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations and with the aim to establish and raise capacities of innovation incubators in the R&D organizations.
The Seminar included also presentations on various intellectual property rights that the participants were informed about, and the emphasis was placed on the patent system. Special attention was dedicated to the inventions from chemistry and biotechnology and the specific characteristics related to the protection of these inventions by a patent.
Researchers from the Faculty of Chemistry got acquainted with the possibility to use other educative activities of the Office, such as IP Diagnosis, workshops for patent databases search, IPO webinars and similar.
