Specific features of “Honey from Tara” has been formed under the influence of the natural characteristics of the mountain of Tara which has specific microclimate, conditioned by a special proximity of the Drina gorge, with the rich presence of various kinds of plants.
“Honey from Tara” is a honey from various flowers of very pronounced poly-flora or special honey “medljikovac” which always contains the pollen of plants of at least four families: Rosaceae, Astraceae, Fabaceae, as well as the pollen of plants of at least 4 familes from the group of the following 12 families: Lamiaceae, Apiaceae, Plantaginaceae, Ranuanculuaceae, Baraginaceae, Brassicaceae, Cistaceae, Rubiaceae, Tiliaceae, Hypericaceae, Saxifragaceae, Poaceae.
