The webinar EU Copyright Law – Copyright protection in the digital era was held on 28 and 29 October. The webinar was organized by the Ministry of European Integration and the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA), in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Office.
The topics of the webinar had been mentioned at the seminar on copyright held in December 2019 at the premises of the Intellectual Property Office and still are very up-to-date issues. The main topics addressed at the webinar relate to the communication to the public in the CJEU jurisprudence, liability regime for online intermediaries, digital exhaustion, the role of the collective management societies in the digital era and the burden of proof in copyright infringement litigation. The relevant cases of the CJEU were also presented.
The representatives of the Intellectual Property Office, judges, the representatives of the collective management societies and lawyers attended the webinar.
