Division for Transition and Developed Countries, in coordination with Office of the Assistant Director General (IES), is organizing a Cross-Regional Experience-Sharing Online Workshop on National IP Strategy Development and Implementation. The workshop is being held in an online format via the Zoom platform, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and the language of the event is English.
National IP strategies (NIPS) are instrumental in building and strengthening national and regional IP institutions, infrastructure and resources, thus greatly contributing to the countries’ economic, social and cultural development. The well-functioning and balanced IP system is key to generate economically valuable IP assets and to promote innovation and creativity.
The workshop aims to provide support and guidance to countries from the Central Europe and Baltic States (CEBS) and Central Asia, Caucasus, Eastern European Countries (CACEEC) Regions, which are interested to exchange experiences on best practices and key factors of success in the development of the NIPS and to elaborate on practical aspects for the effective creation, development, management and protection of IP at a national level.
