On Wednesday, December 11th, 2024, in the Palace of Serbia, the first Innovation Forum Serbia-Switzerland was held in the organization of the Ministry of Science, Innovations and Technological Development and the Embassy of Switzerland in Belgrade.
The Forum was opened by the Minister Jelena Begović, stating the importance of innovations and transfer of knowledge for the development of economy as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience of Serbia and Switzerland, which is a leader in innovations.
In the opening address of Anne Lugon-Moulin, the Ambassador of the Switzerland in Serbia, the excellent cooperation in the field of implementation of Swiss projects was emphasized in particular for the development of innovation of ecosystem in Serbia.
In the course of the Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Swiss company “Novartis” regarding cooperation with the R&D institutions of the future BIO4 Campus.
During the Forum, several lectures were held as well as four panel discussions on the topic of development of start up ecosystems, role of intellectual property rights in the technology transfer, innovations in the field of health and importance and manners of investing in the innovations in the early phases of development. The Intellectual Property Office had its representative as a moderator at the panel discussion on intellectual property.
