The jubilee 40th International Festival of Innovations, Knowledge and Creativity “TESLA FEST 2026”, organized by the Association of Inventors of Vojvodina, was held in Novi Sad from October 12 to 14, 2026. This traditional event brought together inventors, innovators, researchers, business representatives, as well as representatives of educational and scientific institutions from Serbia and abroad, providing an important platform for presenting innovations, exchanging knowledge and strengthening links between science and industry.
This year as well, the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia was an active participant in TESLA FEST, continuing to promote, through direct communication with innovators and inventors, the importance of intellectual property protection and the opportunities it provides for the development and commercialization of innovative solutions.
During discussions with the participants, representatives of the IP Office highlighted the importance of timely protection of inventions, trademarks, industrial designs and other intellectual property rights, as well as the opportunities provided by the IP Office through various support programmes, educational resources and expert lectures. Particular attention was devoted to providing information on how knowledge of intellectual property can be applied to protect the results of creative work, support business development and facilitate the successful placement of innovations on the market.
Such meetings provide an important opportunity to exchange experiences, gain a better understanding of the needs of innovators and make the expertise and services of the IP Office more accessible to those developing new ideas, products and technologies. At the same time, cooperation with the organizers and other participants in the innovation ecosystem contributes to creating a more supportive environment for the development of inventive activity and the more effective use of intellectual property.
This year’s Festival programme included an exhibition of innovations, inventions, new products and technologies, presentations of industrial designs, trademarks and other intellectual property rights, as well as an international expert conference dedicated to innovation and intellectual property. The Conference was also held under the auspices of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), with three WIPO awards in different categories being presented especially on the occasion of this jubilee. The event was given additional significance by the celebration of the 170th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla and four decades of TESLA FEST.
By participating in this important event, the IP Office reaffirmed its commitment to raising awareness and improving knowledge of intellectual property and to supporting all those whose ideas and creativity contribute to technological and economic development.
