The ParkUp! 2026 programme – “From Research to Market” was held at the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad from October 14 to 16, 2026. The programme was intended for researchers from the University of Novi Sad who wish to turn their research results into innovative products and services with market potential.
On the second day of the ParkUp! 2026 programme, a representative of the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia delivered two lectures dedicated to intellectual property and its importance for researchers, with particular emphasis on the protection of research results, the management of intellectual property rights and technology transfer. Particular attention was paid to the role of intellectual property in the transfer of knowledge from research organisations to industry and in creating the conditions for the commercialisation of innovations. Timely identification and appropriate protection of intellectual property are important steps towards successful technology transfer and the creation of added value from research results.
The ParkUp! 2026 programme was implemented jointly by the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad and the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia. Through practical work and teamwork, researchers developed ideas for innovative products and explored opportunities for their application in the market.
