The incubator of the Faculty of Biology (Inobiom), from November 29-30, 2024, in Belgrade Science and Technology Park, organized Bootcamp for students. In the framework of this workshop, students of the Faculty of Biology and Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy had the opportunity to learn about innovative entrepreneurship through an interactive approach.
During the two days of the workshop, students heard about trends in biotechnology, business models, as well as intellectual property protection. In teamwork, they learned how to work out their business ideas and to practice and deliver pitch presentation.
Lecture about intellectual property included a review of all intellectual property rights, then protection of invention by a patent, as well as the specific characteristics connected to the inventions from the field of biotechnology. Applications from biotechnology were shown in the electronic register of patents as well as in the patent database Espacenet.
At the end of the workshop, pitch presentations of students were held and winners were chosen. The student’s Bootcamp of the Faculty of Biology has been organized in the framework of the project of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations for the sake of the establishment and development of innovative incubators at the scientific research organizations.
