On Kopaonik, between December 13 and 17, 2023, the 36th meeting of the Kopaonik School of Natural Law – “Slobodan Perović” was held and attended by several hundreds of participants from Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as guests from Italy, Germany, Argentine and Australia.
The main topic of this year’s meeting was international legal relations and justice. In addition to this topic, the participants dedicated a lot of attention to the issue of artificial intelligence and its relationship to law and possibilities of AI usage in the jurisprudence, so a special panel discussion was dedicated to this issue under a title “The influence of artificial intelligence on the jurisdiction”, as well as a serial of works in the framework of various cathedra of the Kopaonik School.
Also, in the framework of the 36th meeting of the Kopaonik School of Natural Law, for the first time, the round table was held by the Chamber of Public Notaries of Serbia, as well as the international conference under a title “International Contracts and Dispute Resolution in the 21st Century, Something Old, Something New”.
The experts of the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia, that attended this event, presented two expert works from the field of patent law, in the framework of the IV cathedra – Right to Intellectual Creation, one presentation under the title “Technical Improvements and Their Legal Protection in Our Country in the Period after the Second World War” and the other presentation under the title “Differences in the Grace Period in the Different Patent Systems and Reasons for their Introduction”.
