Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia successfully cooperates with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in harmonizing EU Principles of Common Practice in trademarks field. In cooperation with the EUIPO, Principles of Common Practice (CP5): Relative Grounds – Likelihood of Confusion (impact of non-distinctive/weak components), are translated and included in the Guidelines for the procedures of granting of trademarks and in the procedures of trademarks registration, which can be seen on the IPO’s website.
This way, the IPO continues successful cooperation with the EUIPO in implementation of the EU Principles of Common Practice in the trademarks field. The IPO’s Guidelines with the CP5 principles included can be seen on the following link.
