At Wednesday, September 25, 2024, an event was held in Belgrade dedicated to the serial of projects NETSKINMODELS in the framework of which a lecture was held about patent protection in the field of biomedicine.
The project NETSKINMODELS has the aim to develop models of human skin in order to improve experiments on the skin and reduce experiments on animals and as a part of COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) action, enabling researchers all over Europe to connect mutually and share their ideas.
At the lecture about patents, over 60 participants of NETSKINMODELS projects could hear about the basis of all intellectual property rights, basic ideas about patents, how to examine the novelty and inventiveness of patents and what are the specific characteristics that can be protected in the field of biotechnology and medicine.
