Association of business women of Serbia in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Office, and under the auspices of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), awarded a special reward – WIPO IP Enterprise Award for 2024. Award for the Women Entrepreneurs that successfully apply intellectual property in their business was presented to the company “Fashion House LUNA” from Požarevac whose owner and director is Biljana Jovanović. The award was presented at the celebration held on November 1, 2024 in the Opera and Theatre Madlenianum in the framework of the manifestation “Flower of Success for Dragon Woman”.
The fashion house Luna was founded in 1990, and today, after two and a half decades of successful business, “LUNA” is a recognisable brand and one of the leaders in textile industry of Serbia. This company has over 180 employees and technologically advanced production unit of 3000m2, as well as a chain of its own concept stores and franchises. Fashion house Luna has registered the trademark “LUNA” under the number 64498 in the Republic of Serbia in 2011, and the validity of trademark has been extended to 2031. Since 2011, the international trademark has been registered under the number 1113749 for several countries, in particular: Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Hungary, Croatia, Italy and Montenegro.
