In Novi Sad, from October 12th to 15th 2024, in the Business Centre Vojvodina, the 38th International Festival of Innovations, Knowledge and Creativity “Tesla Fest 2024” was held in the organization of the Association of Inventors of Vojvodina.
During the manifestation, an exhibition of innovations and inventions, new products and technologies was held, and on Sunday, October 13th, 2024, the International Conference about Innovations and Intellectual Property was organized, and one of the representatives of the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia gave the introductory speech. At the Conference, several exhibitors presented their innovative projects, the books “Tesla-Inspiration” and “A Year of the Child’s Life with Nikola Tesla” by the authors from Novi Sad were presented, as well as other works of the exhibitors. The experts from the Office, in the course of the day, had the opportunity to visit all the exhibitors, and to offer to provide information for their benefit, and for all the interested visitors, concerning protection of various intellectual property rights.
On Monday, October 14th 2024, a certificate of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO was awarded, and the panel of judges of Tesla Fest 2024 awarded the certificate to researchers Mina Volić, PhD and Nataša Obradović, PhD from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy of Belgrade University for the product -CHERRY FUSION CREAM. This cosmetic preparation, the cream improved with by encapsulated bioactive components extracted from the fruit of cherry without kernel, obtained by the process of lyophilisation, is under preparation for the commercialization in cooperation with the producer of cosmetic products from Vrnjacka Banja.
