This year as well, the Intellectual Property Office participated in the “European Researchers’ Night” event, held under the slogan “One Heart for Science” on Friday, September 25, 2026, at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry.
Through short lectures and discussions with experts from the IP Office, high school students who attended the event as an organised group together with their teachers had an opportunity to look at the world of science from the perspective of innovation and patents – inventions that have changed and continue to change our everyday lives. This year, a selection of interesting patented inventions was prepared for them, developed as practical solutions for pets and designed to make their lives at home safer, more comfortable and of better quality.
As in previous years, part of the programme was intended for the youngest visitors. Through stories about inventions and patents, experts from the IP Office helped schoolchildren complete their “MY FIRST INVENTION” application. Using a specially adapted form for children, pupils came up with a name for their invention, described its purpose and presented it in a drawing. Once again, they showed great creativity and imagination, offering their own solutions to various problems, most often those they encounter in everyday life. Alongside the original ideas, numerous imaginative names for the inventions were devised as well.
