
On Wednesday, 11 March 2026, an Espacenet workshop was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade for participants in the project entitled BioCompWaterClean.
The workshop was organised by representatives of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, and the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad. In addition to these two faculties, the project, which was approved under the PRIZMA Programme, also includes the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade.
The workshop, entitled Searching patent documentation in the Espacenet database, included a presentation on the use of various functions of Espacenet, the European Patent Office’s patent documentation database, including smart search, advanced search, filters and patent document analysis.
Following the introductory lecture, project participants, as well as participants from the Faculty of Pharmacy, had the opportunity to work independently on computers in this patent database with the assistance of the IP Office’s patent examiners, Jelena Tešić and Ivana Krdžić, and to complete assigned patent documentation search exercises.
