This year, the Intellectual Property Office participated in the “European Researchers` Night” event, which took place on Friday, September 26, 2025, with a stand on the plateau in front of the Faculty of Physical Chemistry.
The experts from the IPO socialized with the youngest visitors, and through interesting stories about inventions and patents that make our everyday life easier, helped schoolchildren to submit their MY FIRST INVENTION application. On a specially adapted application form for children, the pupils listed the name, purpose and description of their invention. This time, the children presented again very interesting and imaginative ideas for solving certain problems, most often from everyday life, and the submitted inventions also had very imaginative titles.
Through short lectures and discussions, high school students and graduates who came organized with their professors had the opportunity to get acquainted with the world of science from a different angle of innovations and patents without which the world would not have looked the same today. Many of them expressed their desire to be active participants who, with their knowledge and innovations, continue to be “Up to date with science”, which was the slogan of this year`s Researchers` Night.
