The Intellectual Property Office invites representatives registered in the Register of Representatives maintained by the Intellectual Property Office to a roundtable discussion to be held on January 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. in the Ceremonial Hall of the Office.
The aim of the meeting is for the representatives to present their observations regarding the services of the Intellectual Property Office and possibly to make suggestions in what sense these services could be improved. We believe that in this way we will be able to understand better our work, our possible weaknesses and, after collecting opinions, shape new rules of our conduct. The purpose of all this is to improve the services of the Intellectual Property Office and make our work more efficient.
Suggestions from registered representatives may relate to all matters of principle concerning our activities. In this regard, proposals may relate to procedural issues, the method of communication with parties, the quality of our digital services (e-filing, electronic delivery, the IPO website, social networks, etc.), the work of the registry and clerks, the Intellectual Property Gazette, etc. We would like to point out that individual, specific cases or proceedings, whether completed or still ongoing, will not be discussed at the meeting. The IPO employees will not provide answers to such questions.
In order to have a better and more efficient discussion, we suggest that representatives should highlight only those issues that they consider to be of essential importance to our work and whose resolution will truly lead to some changes in the quality of our services.
At the roundtable, the moderator will try to give everyone the opportunity to ask at least one question. Therefore, we ask everyone to be economical in expressing their views and questions so that everyone has a chance to speak.
Registration for participants is mandatory and must be completed via online form, no later than January 20, 2026 or until the room is full. In the form, please briefly state the topic or questions for discussion and the field of IP rights to which they relate, in order to ensure a good discussion.
A maximum of two representatives may apply from one law firm.
The meeting will be audio recorded, solely for the purpose of taking minutes.
