In the organization of the Regional Agency for the economic development of the districts of Sumadija and Pomoravlje, a workshop was held yesterday in the framework of the project NEXT (Collaborative platform for the support to research and transfer of knowledge) which is a part of the program Adriatic IPA of trans-border cooperation 2007-2013.
The Project has the aim to create network of business, institutional and academic community through the creation of collaborative platform between the research centers, companies and researchers that will stimulate and support the innovation process.
The workshop was held in the Hotel Kragujevac. Among the participants, there were the representatives of the sector of SMEs and the representatives of the academic and institutional community consisting of the organizers, the representatives of the Business Innovation Center, the Civil Engineering Cluster of Sumadija and Pomoravlje, Regional Cluster IKT, Faculty of Engineering Sciences, Business Incubator of technical faculties from Belgrade, Scientific and Technological Park from Cacak and the Intellectual Property Office.
The representative of the Education and Information Center from the IPO, among other things, held a lecture on the importance of protection of intellectual property rights in the cycles of development and implementation of innovations. The aim of the workshop was to represent more closely the strategic framework and the infrastructure for the support to innovations in Serbia, both at the national and the regional and local level, as well as examples of good practice, all seen though the prism of necessity of developing closer cooperation between the holder of knowledge and the business community. The establishment of this cooperation enables the greater implementation of the results of research in the function of the more efficient innovation management.
