Today, at the Festive Hall of the IPO a seminar has been held under the title “Intellectual Property – value for SMEs”, for around thirty representatives of business support institutions.
The Seminar was opened by Mrs. Branka Totic, Director of IPO, and then Mrs. Branka Bilen Katic, Assistant Director, presented the IPORTA Project intended as a support for SMEs in the domain of IP, where Serbia also participates. Then the participants heard the lecture of prof. Djuro Kutlaca, Ph.D. on the strategies of IP management, and later Mrs. Danica Micanovic from the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia presented the role of the Chamber of Commerce in the development of the innovative SMEs. The first part of the Seminar was completed by a presentation of program of financial and other assistance to the growth of competitiveness and innovations of SMEs and entrepreneurs held by Mr. Sinisa Tesic from the National Agency for Regional Development.
In the course of the second part of the Seminar, new instruments were presented for the support of SMEs sector in the domain of IP (INNOVACESS, IP RESPONSE, IP MARKETPLACE and IP VALUATION) by Nikola Radovanovic from the IPO, as well as the services of the Education and Information Center intended for SMEs and the models for cooperation with institutions for the support of industry, by Daniela Zlatic Sutic, Head of the Education and Information Center.
During the Seminar, numerous ideas were exchanged on the further joint actions of the IPO and the institutions for the support of industry in order to get better acquainted the SMEs and the business companies at large with the information and specialized services intended for the efficient utilization of the IP system.
