The Belgrade Fair was also hosting this year the Eighth International Fair of Enterprises “Business Data Base” which was organized by the Republic Agency for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship which took place in the period November 28 – December 1, 2009. The Intellectual Property Office traditionally took part at the Fair.

The Fair was opened by the Minister of Economy in the Government of Serbia, Mr. Mladjan Dinkic who underlined the great importance for the holding of this fair, giving the estimation that the small and medium enterprises represent the most vital part of the Serbian economy and they represent the 99 percent of the private sector. During his visit to the stall of the Intellectual Property Office, Mr. Dinkic recommended the work of our institution and underlined its importance for the development of the sector of small and medium enterprises.

Various topics were elaborated at the fair that refer to the importance of intellectual property, leadership at the market, eco-business, IT solutions, as well as support to the young entrepreneurs. During the whole course of the Fair, the Intellectual property Office gave expert advice and assistance in the field of intellectual property protection, and in the framework of the program of the Fair a lecture was given on the importance of intellectual property for the competitive edge of the companies.
