INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA (IPORS) HAS STARTED TO USE EUIPO DESIGNCLASS
September 30, 2019
As of 30 September 2019, Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia (IPORS) has started to use European Intellectual Property Office’s (EUIPO) Harmonised database of product indications (HDBPI) in DesignClass.
So far, first six IP offices outside the European Union (EU) have started to use terms from HDBPI as one of the expected results of EUIPO’s strategic project “Extension of tools” aiming to extend reach of European Union Intellectual Property (EUIPO) tools beyond the EU for the benefit of global users. Besides IPORS, these offices are: African Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IIP-BIH), National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia (Sakpatenti), State Agency on Intellectual Property of the Republic of Moldova (AGEPI) and State Office of Industrial Property of the Republic of North Macedonia (SOIP).
With these six extensions, DesignClass offers users an opportunity to search and translate in 27 languages more than 12000 harmonised concepts from 30 IP offices.
