Within the framework of the project of Education and Information Centre creation, which is funded by the EU and co-funded and implemented by the European Patent Office, and with the goal of learning Slovenian experiences in the areas of technology transfer and commercialization of research products, the management of the Intellectual Property Office visited their colleagues from the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office in the period from November 30 to December 2, 2009.

The managements of two offices paid a working visit to the Office for the Transfer of Technology which is situated in the framework of the University in Ljubljana, with the aim to get information about the practice and experiences of this institution, which has primary goals to raise awareness about intellectual property matters in Slovenia and provide support to the cooperation between the industry and the faculties. Technology Transfer Office in Ljubljana was established within the project of the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office and the European Patent Office. Experiences shared with the Intellectual Property Office of Serbia were of great significance, especially having in mind the conclusion that the model applied by Slovenia represents a very efficient solution for the connection of academic sector and industry.
