The 23rd International Festival of Innovations, Knowledge and Creativity “Tesla Fest” was held from October 12th – 15th, 2009 in Novi Sad. The exhibition was opened by the Assistant of the Republic Minister for Science and Technological Development Mr. Radosav Cerovic, PhD.

The Intellectual Property Office traditionally held its stall where the patent experts gave legal and other expert assistance to the inventors, while the on –line data bases were available to the interested parties. Also, the Office held a round table where the novelties in the field of trademarks, as well as aspects of commercializing intellectual property were discussed.

At this year’s Festival, there were both domestic and foreign exhibiters. The visitors at the Festival could see the exhibitions of industrial design, trademarks, indications of geographical origin, exhibition of technical creativity of young talents, the promotion of the documentary film about Milutin Milankovic, the stock market of inventions and innovative projects as well as the seminar on the protection of intellectual property.

The guest of Tesla Fest was also Mr. Michael Svantner, Director of the Sector for Certain Countries in Europe and Asia from the World Intellectual Property Organization. On this occasion, he handed over to the best inventor the prize of the World Intellectual Property Organization, consisting of a medal and an award signed by the Director of that institution.
