In the Intellectual Property Office, on February 17th , a Seminar was held with the topic “Implementation and Enforcement of TRIPS Agreement in Serbia” The Seminar was organized in the framework of the Project for technical assistance in the field of intellectual property rights, which was financed by the Government of Switzerland.

On that occasion, the experts in the international legislation, from the organization SAANA Consultants, Mr. Michael Blackeney and Mr. Ron Marchant presented the draft of the diagnostic study and recommendations for the harmonization with the provisions and more efficient enforcement of TRIPS agreement in Serbia. Various topics have been discussed, including the issues of industrial property and copyright versus TRIPS regulations, and the accent has been placed on the topic of best experiences of institutional arrangement for administration and enforcement of intellectual property rights in the European Union.
